Sing Sing Recording Studios Pty Ltd has a NO SMOKING INSIDE THE PREMISES Policy. An external courtyard with ashtrays is provided for smokers' use. The NO SMOKING INSIDE Policy has been created for both legal and health reasons. All clients and staff are expected to respect this policy or be prepared to take full responsibility for the resulting consequences.
A studio booking may be put "On Hold" by a client. If someone else wishes to secure time against a booking already on hold, the first client must confirm their booking or relinquish the time. To cancel a confirmed booking we require notice of 7 days plus 1/2 the amount of days booked (e.g. An 8 day booking requires 11 days notice). Any late cancellation of bookings will incur a charge. The "Cancellation charge" shall be calculated at 75% of the daily rate for the Studio/s booked and shall be charged for every day cancelled.(The daily rate shall be based upon the price originally quoted by Sing Sing Recording Studios to the client concerned).
It is the client's responsibility to set limitations on all expenses arising from the recording session. Any limitations should be clearly explained to Sing Sing Sing Recording Studios' Management & the session Engineer &/or Producer prior to the commencement of the session. All recorded media from a session remains the property of Sing Sing Recording Studios until payment for services rendered has been received in full. If payment has not been made within one hundred (100) days, Sing Sing Recording Studios reserves the right to exploit the recordings to recoup its 'losses'.
Sing Sing Recording Studios advises Clients to bring their own portable hard drives for the purpose of recording & backing-up their sessions. Upon request, Sing Sing Recording Studios will provide information regarding correct hard drive specifications. Sing Sing Recording Studios cannot over-stress the importance of back-ups but advises that it is the client's responsibility to ensure that their files are fully backed up at the end of each session. For smaller sessions, Sing Sing offers clients a complete Session Back-up Service (to DVD). This service will be charged on top of the daily room costs at the rate of $45.00 per hour + $4.00 per DVD (+GST). Clients should advise Sing Sing Recording Studios' Management, prior to the commencement of their session, if they wish to take advantage of the Back-up to DVD service. Unless previously organised, Client Files will not be stored on Sing Sing Recording Studios drives beyond 7 days (after completion of a session).
Whilst every effort is made to ensure reasonable security, Sing Sing Recording Studios accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage to clients property, tapes or recording/backup media whilst on our premises.
In the event that any client imposes any wilful damage upon or to Sing SingRecording Studios property whilst on the premises or whilst hiring any Sing Sing Recording Studios equipment in another premises, then the client responsible will have to pay in full for whatever damage has been caused.
Sing Sing Recording Studios makes every effort to maintain its equipment and facilities to the highest professional standards, however, Sing Sing Recording Studios accepts no liability whatsoever for loss, costs or damage, consequential or otherwise, to the client arising from defects in the equipment, facilities, and materials provided.
Sing Sing Recording Studios makes no warranties expressed or implied, with reference to services and/or personnel furnished by it, and shall not be liable for any failure to perform the services for any cause whatsoever. Sing Sing Recording Studios will not be held responsible for any loss of or damage to Pro Tools data or any other data for any reason whatsoever. In the case of transfers from old medium (eg; analog tapes, old tape or old digital formats) to new, Sing Sing Recording Studios makes no guarantee of success. All care but no responsibility will be taken during the process of transfer.
No downtime can be claimed if 12 hours (not necessarily consecutive) have been used per lockout day.
Sing Sing Recording Studios' equipment and specifications are subject to change without notice.
